Lymphatic Drainage Massage
for Post-Procedure & Detox
Recommended Recovery Progression
Every patient heals differently, so you should always follow your surgeon’s post-op instructions. In general, we recommend the following progression:
Weeks 0–4: Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage With a Qualified Provider
During the first 4 weeks after surgery, patients should typically begin with manual lymphatic drainage massage performed by a qualified post-op lymphatic massage provider.
This early phase is focused on gentle fluid movement, swelling reduction, comfort, and early healing support.
Touch of Beauty does not currently offer manual lymphatic drainage massage.
Week 5 - 8: T-Shape 2 Mesosphere Lymphatic Support at Touch of Beauty
Once you are at least 4 weeks post-op, and your tissue is healing appropriately, you may be ready to transition to T-Shape 2 Mesosphere lymphatic drainage massage at Touch of Beauty.
The Mesosphere handpiece uses multiple soft silicone roller-balls to provide rhythmic mechanical massage. This treatment may help support circulation, encourage lymphatic movement, reduce tissue firmness, and help prevent or soften areas of fibrosis after surgery.
Later Recovery: Standard T-Shape 2 Multipolar and Roller
After completing a period of Mesosphere-assisted lymphatic massage, and once swelling, tenderness, and tissue sensitivity have improved, we may recommend progressing to the standard T-Shape 2 body contouring handpieces.
These handpieces use low-level laser, microvibration, vacuum suction, and radiofrequency to support circulation, shrink fat cells, tighten skin, and refine body contour.
Modified Mesosphere-Assisted Lymphatic Drainage
For some patients who are at least 2 weeks post-op, a modified Mesosphere-assisted lymphatic drainage treatment may be appropriate before transitioning to standard Mesosphere treatments.
This modified approach uses the same Mesosphere handpiece, but with the motor speed significantly reduced for a gentler massage. This can be helpful for patients who are still tender or sensitive but may benefit from light technology-assisted lymphatic support.
Patient comfort, healing stage, incision status, swelling, bruising, and surgeon instructions are always considered before treatment. If your tissue is not ready, we may recommend continuing with manual lymphatic drainage massage through a qualified provider until you are further along in recovery.
Accelerate healing. Reduce swelling. Support your body naturally.
At Touch of Beauty MediSpa in Bellevue, we offer post-procedure lymphatic drainage massage using the T-Shape 2 Mesosphere handpiece. For patients who are further along in recovery, we may also progress to the standard T-Shape 2 body contouring handpieces, which use vacuum and radiofrequency.
What is Post-Procedure Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
After procedures such as liposuction, BBL, tummy tuck, or other body contouring surgeries, swelling, fluid retention, firmness (fibrosis), and discomfort are common. Lymphatic drainage massage can help encourage healthy fluid movement, reduce swelling, support circulation, and improve comfort during recovery.
Touch of Beauty does not currently offer manual lymphatic drainage massage. For the first 4 weeks after surgery, we recommend working with a qualified manual lymphatic drainage massage provider, especially if your surgeon has recommended post-op lymphatic massage.
Once you are at least 4 weeks post-op and healing appropriately, Touch of Beauty can help support your next stage of recovery with T-Shape 2 Mesosphere treatments. The Mesosphere handpiece uses multiple silicone roller-balls to provide rhythmic mechanical massage that supports circulation, lymphatic movement, tissue softening, and fibrosis prevention or softening. For patients further along in recovery, we may also progress to the standard T-Shape 2 handpieces, which use vacuum and radiofrequency for more advanced skin tightening and body contouring support.
Some patients who are at least 2 weeks post-op may tolerate a modified Mesosphere-assisted lymphatic drainage treatment. During this modified treatment, we significantly reduce the motor speed so the massage is much more gentle and comfortable for sensitive or tender tissue.
Support circulation, swelling reduction, and smoother recovery after cosmetic procedures.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Lymphatic Drainage Massage with T-Shape 2
Do you offer manual lymphatic drainage massage?
No. Touch of Beauty does not currently offer manual lymphatic drainage massage. We offer T-Shape 2 Mesosphere lymphatic support for patients who are generally at least 4 weeks post-op and ready to transition from manual massage into technology-assisted lymphatic support.
What is lymphatic drainage massage and how does it help after surgery?
Lymphatic drainage massage stimulates the flow of lymph fluid to help remove toxins, reduce swelling, and support immune function. After procedures like liposuction or BBL, it helps prevent fluid build-up, promotes healing, and reduces discomfort and post-op swelling.
When can I start post-lipo lymphatic massage?
Most patients can begin T-Shape 2 Mesosphere-assisted Lymphatic Drainage Massage 4 weeks after surgery, depending on your surgeon’s clearance. The earlier you begin, the better the results in reducing swelling and minimizing fibrosis (hard lumps or scar tissue).
What should I do during the first 4 weeks after surgery?
During the first 4 weeks after surgery, we recommend working with a qualified manual lymphatic drainage massage provider, especially if your surgeon has recommended post-op lymphatic massage. Manual lymphatic drainage is typically the best starting point during the early healing phase because it is gentle and focused on fluid movement, swelling reduction, and comfort.
Is this safe for all skin types and body areas?
Yes. T-Shape 2’s technology is safe for all skin tones and types. Common treatment areas include the abdomen, flanks, thighs, buttocks, and arms — anywhere swelling or fluid retention occurs.
How is this different from manual lymphatic massage?
While manual massage relies solely on the hands to stimulate lymph flow, our T-Shape 2 Mesosphere handpiece uses multiple soft silicone roller-balls to provide rhythmic mechanical massage. This treatment can help support circulation, encourage lymphatic movement, reduce scar tissue (fibrosis), and support smoother tissue mobility during recovery.
Why is the T-Shape 2 Mesosphere handpiece helpful for post-procedure lymphatic drainage massage?
The T-Shape 2 Mesosphere handpiece is especially effective in preventing and breaking down fibrosis (scar tissue), which can develop as firm lumps or hardened tissue after liposuction or BBL. The Mesosphere technology helps soften these areas early, reducing the risk of long-term irregularities and improving overall healing outcomes. It can also help improve fibrosis that has already formed.
Is there any downtime?
There’s no downtime—you can resume your day right after your session.
What is the recommended recovery progression?
In general, we recommend manual lymphatic drainage massage with a qualified provider during the first 4 weeks after surgery. Once you are 4 weeks post-op and healing appropriately, you may transition to T-Shape 2 Mesosphere lymphatic massage at Touch of Beauty. Later in recovery, once swelling and tenderness have improved, we may progress to the standard T-Shape 2 handpieces that use low-level laser, vacuum, and radiofrequency.
How many sessions do I need?
We typically recommend a series of 5–10 sessions, spaced 1–2 times per week. The number may vary based on your surgery type, healing process, and goals. We’ll customize a plan for you during your consultation.
Does it hurt?
The treatment is gentle and non-invasive, with most clients describing it as a pleasant, rhythmic massage.
Can I book a lymphatic drainage massage even if I haven’t had surgery?
Yes! This treatment is also ideal for clients seeking detoxification, improved circulation, or reduced inflammation. It’s a great addition to any wellness or body sculpting routine.
Do I need clearance from my surgeon?
We recommend following your surgeon’s post-op instructions. If you have restrictions, complications, drains, open incisions, infection concerns, or unusual pain or swelling, you should receive clearance from your surgeon before beginning T-Shape 2 lymphatic support.
Can I book if I am less than 4 weeks post-op?
If you are less than 4 weeks post-op, we generally recommend starting with a qualified manual lymphatic drainage massage provider first. Touch of Beauty is best suited for patients who are at least 4 weeks post-op and ready for T-Shape 2 Mesosphere lymphatic support. However, some patients who are at least 2 weeks post-op tolerate modified Mesosphere-assisted lymphatic massage.
